CkCC layout one

I finally did a layout .I really like my kit this month. I have more layout planned. This is my daughter Sarah and Jason .I love they they bought a tandem bike to ride. I love bright colors for Sarah and flags lol. When I was cropping the photo I notice the middle flag was pointing up. Figures after all it is a picture with Sarah.

PS if this layout looks familiar well it is, apparently this is a preferred layout when I do Sarah.

CKC Challenge #3

Grids
This challenge is all about grids.  I started to do a monthly layout for my grandson , I pick one moment in the month and scrap it with journaling. I decided to do it based loosely on project life . So I bought packet pages and got started. But from the beginning I knew I wanted full layout too. So I do every other page  pocket then full page. Best of both worlds. Until you want a full layout so I decided to make a full layout then cut the page apart to fit the pocket page. By having guidelines I have  no problem cutting .

I wasn't sure if I could use a pocket page for the grid challenge so I made a full page layout and then cut it apart .

A Little Birdie Told Me

Here is another journal page , I have many websites that I get inspired by. I am grateful for their generosity in sharing there talent.  I learned about coloring on tone paper and tried it with the bird ,I also  put a shadow around the bird to ground it into the page. Now who can help me with hair (lol)if you have a website to share please let me know .

September's Kill that Kit!

Yeah finally got to do a layout from my kit! I chose the Use Your Words Challenge: Sweet to kill my kit.  I also scraplifted one of the layouts from Carol .My word I had to use was SMILES when you see the photo you will see why. MY daughters loves bright colors and this will be perfect for her scrapbook. I tried to have it read masculine with touches of girly . I got to use a little of everything from my kit and that makes me smile.

First Full Journal Page

Yes it has been a long month didn't get to craft much at ALL!
But yesterday one of the artist (Willowing) I follow shared a little bit of what she is struggling with. Then gave her answers that were helping her cope. I heard the message.  Dede (Inkwell) on her upstream showed us what mind mapping is and how it can help you get your creative juices flowing . I will be using this method (because I struggle with not knowing what to draw) .That saying I don't know what to draw (create ) is not an excuse (Or at least not a good one). So I bought my first cranson xl multi media book O yeah. I can not let fear stop me .I know that I am not good and need a lot of practice. Not just watch but also do . There is so much out there if you just take the risk .So I am sharing my first journal page, the forth girl I have ever drawn. So go easy .

I used acrylic paints and gelatos(first time using them) in the background  and colored the face with pencils.

September Counterfeit Kit

Counterfeit Club  is so much fun and keeps you inspired to try new things while using what you have in your stash. I like have challenges because it get me motivated and now I have so many great layouts.
